Questions?

No need to raise your hand (seriously, put your hand down). Below are the most frequently asked questions we receive. Let us know if we’re missing anything or how we can help you. Cheers, amigos!

We want to sell you fresh craft beer. Whether you want to pick up a six pack and bring it home, or you’d rather grab a pint in our tap room and spend some time with us (aww), we are happy to have you. Yep, it’s really that easy.

No, we are not a brewery. We leave that up to the guys and gals that know what they’re doing.

Yes! We have 8 rotating craft beers on tap at all times. If you want more of a selection, we have a dedicated fridge for cold bottled and canned beer – just look for the fridge that says “BEER HERE”. If you’re still looking for something else, we have an entire store filled with beer.

We also sell ciders, craft sodas, and non-alcoholic beer.

We offer a small food menu for our on-site patrons. We also welcome you to bring your own food (BYOF, if you will) from your favorite local restaurants. We have menus from a variety of local food joints behind the bar. Just ask! We also partner with food trucks, so keep an eye on our Facebook page to see when they’re coming.

Yes, children are allowed! Unless you’re purchasing alcohol, age doesn’t matter to us at The Open Bottle. We always try to provide a calm, welcoming atmosphere for everyone. We have craft sodas and pretzels for the little ones, and you can always bring in your own food too!

Our beer selection focuses on American craft beers with an über-focus on Chicago craft beer. That’s why the very first display unit in the front of the store showcases craft beer that’s brewed here in the fine state of Illinois. Of course, we’ll also have some tasty beers from our friends across the pond. Belgian, German, English, and Italian beers!

We mainly focus on our beer selection, but we have ciders, and even some craft sodas for the kiddos (adults too)! We do not sell wine or liquor.

Yep! We have daily beer tastings to showcase a beer or two that we think you would enjoy, or special limited released beers. These tastings are 2oz pours and, of course, free of charge. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to find out what we’re pouring for our daily tastings!

We are primarily considered a craft beer retail shop and are required to hold retail hours. Our shop can be the first stop on your night out 🙂

We are primarily considered a craft beer retail shop with 70% of our sales are beer purchases to go. With that, seating is based upon a couple of factors:
  • Each seat is proportional to the parking spots available in our lot with the rest of the building. This is apart of Tinley Park’s legislation. The management company and Tinley Park have to be fair to every business in our strip so there’s no special treatment.
  • We have a limited occupancy allowed in the shop. It’s also proportional to the space available to allow for customers to be able to walk in, look around the shop, and purchase beer to go.

Ask us for a draft menu next time you’re in. We’re happy to provide free 1oz samples one at a time of any beer on draft. We want you to be happy with your purchase, so this gives you the opportunity to try a beer before you buy! Once you grab a beer, feel free to take a seat in the tap room or walk around the store. Come back up to the checkout register when you’re ready to checkout or order another beer.

Towards the back of our shop, we have a “Beer Here” cooler with a variety of bottled and canned beer and ciders. Simply look for a beer or cider you want, bring it up to the checkout counter, and we will gladly open it up and serve it to you. We also have a super fancy bottle chiller that can chill down any bottle/can in 5 minutes or less. Simply find a beer on our shelves and ask us to chill it for you. You’re welcome to drink it here or take it home! Cheers!

Of course we do! What modern business doesn’t?! We also have electricity and running water! All jokes aside, our WiFi is open to the public – check our draft beer menu for the password or just ask one of us! Jump on, and enjoy the perfect combination: the Internet and beer.

Yes! Please contact us, and we’ll hammer out the details.
